Google makes Trusted Stores available for all American online retailers. The badge provides information for visitors and guarantees for buyers. Special badges can be seen in online stores, but soon also in Google's regular search engine and in Google Shopping.

By hovering over a Trusted Store badge, consumers can gather information about an online store. The data on thereport card (example) comes partly from the online retailer in question and partly from Google itself.Buyer protectionGoogle claims to award the badge only to online stores that are reliable, that provide good customer service, and that ship orders on time. Those who shop at a Trusted Store enjoy free purchase protectionGoogle will assist in resolving buyer issues up to 60 days after the order is placed. The search giant guarantees up to one thousand dollars.Extra salesGoogle started a pilot with Trusted Stores last October, in which Overstock.com and Wayfair participated.
