Dutch web shops hardly suffer from the economic crisis. The number of purchases made online increased by 15 percent in the past six months compared to the same period last year; this resulted in a revenue growth of 9 percent.
Thuiswinkel.org, the interest organization of web shops, reports that 42 million internet orders were placed. However, less was spent per order than last year. Online purchases had an average value of 110 euros in the first half of this year, which is a decrease of 5 percent.Home and garden
